Jeffrey Friedland, Managing Director
Since 1979 Mr. Friedland has assisted hundreds of companies with their
business planning and financing objectives. In addition to providing corporate
finance advisory services, the services provided by Mr. Friedland have included
obtaining venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, and assistance to companies
regarding financing their growth and going public. Mr. Friedland has traveled
globally with the management of companies with the objectives of assisting the
companies with obtaining capital, expanding globally and entering into strategic
alliances.
Mr. Friedland has been featured or quoted in numerous publications including the
Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The South China Morning Post (Hong Kong) and
Forbes. He has also been featured over 60 times on Financial News Network,
which is now CNBC, Bloomberg Information Radio, and Bloomberg TV.
Mr. Friedland has been a frequent speaker at various tradeshows, conferences,
conventions and meetings throughout North America, Europe and Asia, most
recently at a Bloomberrg China Conference at the Tate Modern in London.
Lorin Cohen, Managing Director
Lorin Cohen brings more than 25 years experience advising small-cap and
private companies to Friedland Global Capital. Prior to joining Friedland in 2006,
Ms. Cohen founded and managed KC Communications, a business
communications firm specializing in writing business plans, research reports and
other corporate communications for private and small-cap companies.
From 1994 to 1996, she was Vice President at Lippert/Heilshorn, a New York-
based Investor Relations firm with a focus on small and mid-cap public
companies. From 1992 to 1994,
Ms. Cohen was a Corporate Relations Manager at the American Stock Exchange
where she served as the liason between listed companies, their specialist and the
exchange. Ms. Cohen also spent four years at D.H. Blair as Vice President of the
New Venture Group.
Ms. Cohen received her MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and holds a
Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from Lehigh University.
Kristina Wang, Managing Director-China
Beijing based Kristina Wang's corporate finance experience includes research
and evaluation of companies, acquisitions, strategic alliances, takeovers,
formation of American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), and enhancing shareholder
value for listed or publicly-traded companies.
As Friedland Capital's Managing Director - China she is responsible for all
aspects of the firm's operations in China, as well as assisting Chinese companies
with their global and specifically their North American objectives.
Ms. Wang speaks fluent Mandarin and English and obtained a law degree from
China People's University in Beijing.
Rana Sikder, Vice President-Asia Pacific
Asia based Rana Sikder has an extensive investment banking and corporate
finance industry experience. Prior to joining Friedland Global Capital Mr. Sikder
was associated with major financial institutions including Standard Chartered
Bank, ABN AMRO Bank, Deutsche Bank and Edelweiss Capital.
As Friedland Global Capital's Managing Director - South East Asia. Mr. Sikder
heads the South East Asian business development and operations as well as
assisting Friedland Global Capital's clients in accessing foreign capital and
obtaining stock market listings.
Mr. Sikder has significant international business and fund raising capabilities and
experience, and has been involved in numerous capital raising activities for
publicly-listed as well as privately-held companies worldwide. His ability to
identify businesses and leaders and help them realize their potential has been
the hallmark of his career.
Mr.Sikder holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with specialization in Finance
as well as a Masters in Finance and International Business from Amity University.
David Zhao, Vice President
After graduating from China Zhejian University of Finance & Economics and
having obtained the First Financial Degree and Taxation Degree of the university,
Mr. Zhao has been employed in provincial Chinese governmental departments,
engaging in auditing and finance; and then being an executive of large state-
owned enterprises.
For more than twenty years Mr. Zhao has continued his education in areas
including financial planning, tax, planning, law, investment and business
management.
Mr. Zhao has also published several papers in finance and economics. In
addition to his senior management position with Friedland Global Capital, Mr.
Zhao is the executive director of a capital management firm and the investment
advisor of a large investment company in China.
Claudio Hebling, Vice President - The Americas
For the past twenty years, Mr. Hebling’s business experience includes being a
corporate entrepreneur; assisting with the structuring and restructuring of
divisions.
Mr. Hebling has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Business
Administration and Management, from the Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba,
and an MBA in Economics from Universidade de São Paulo.companies and
divisions.
HIs specialities include a focus on supply chain, production, and distribution
companies.
Arvind Kumar, Vice President- Indonesia & South East Asia
For over twenty years Arvind Kumar has been advising large multinational
foreign investment companies in the Indonesian/ and southeast Asian energy,
mining, agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, retail and financial sectors.
A former Commodities futures trader, hedging at LIFFE and NYSE in the United
States, Mr. Kumar is a qualified accountant and Financial Risk Management
professional.
He has more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance including capital
raising and has closely worked with some of the largest banks in South-East Asia
and USA, including CIT Bank New York. Mr. Kumar has held senior expatriate
finance and management roles, at the board level, with large multinationals in
Indonesia, South East Asia and the United States. Mr. Kumar is also an expert at
regulatory compliance systems.
Mr. Kumar’s focus is on enabling Indonesian energy, natural resources, mining,
Agriculture, CPO Plantations, commodities, industrial, infrastructure and retail
companies to access global capital for further growth and expansion.
